Die Miyagikyo Destillerie liegt auf Japans größter Insel Honshu, das Kernland Japans - Eigentümer der Destillerie ist Nikka.

Aroma: gemälze Gerste, Bienenwachs und blumige Aromen, dann exotische Früchte, vor allem Banane - dazu gesellen sich Lakritz und Kampher, etwas Holzkohle und Asche
Geschmack: wieder deutlich das Gerstenmalz, umhüllt in Kräuter, Lakritz, Ingwer und Zimt - leichte Schokoladentöne - frische Tabakblätter und Kokosnuss
Abgang: langer, sehr weicher Abgang mit Tanninen, Limone und Grapefruit - wieder der Tabak, Ingwer und Zimt - dahinter geröstete Nüsse und eingekochte Früchte
