It starts off sweet and then develops its spiciness and peatiness with force.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Lagavulin 16 year old tastes like
- Nose: strong with lots of smoke, iodine and a sweet spice - reminiscent of strong green tea, with sherry tones and creamy vanilla
- Palate: strong and rich in taste, full mouthfeel with a fruity Sweetness and Sherry - lots of peat and oak
- Finish: long, spicier Finish - the peat smoke again, plus dates, figs and vanilla
