The brand name and the first rum, Añejo Especial 7, trace back to a famous racehorse - an unusual but affectionate tribute from the founders in 1985.

Founded 1969 as Seagram de Costa Rica. First own rum in 1985 (Añejo Especial 7). With Pernod Ricard until 2002, with the UDG Group since 2016. Additionally matured in used Scotch whisky casks from four regions.
