50th Anniversary Kirsch Import – The Jubilee Bottlings
In 1976, Dieter Kirsch loaded a VW camper van with spirits in Stuhr near Bremen. That van grew into one of Germany's most important whisky importers. For its 50th birthday, Kirsch Import has put together a range of special bottlings, most of them single casks. They include a 32-year-old Talisker, two 50-year-old single grains distilled in the founding year, 1976, and single casks from Kanosuke, Bimber and Benromach. Every bottle carries the "50th Anniversary Kirsch Import" label, and many exist only in very small numbers. Here you'll find the complete anniversary series.

Half a Century of Whisky Passion: The Kirsch Import Story
Kirsch Import started as a small retail business. Founder Dieter Kirsch set off with his VW van in 1976, and the business soon became a wholesaler of spirit miniatures. Early on, the family company from Stuhr turned to single malt Scotch whisky, which was still a niche in Germany at the time. Christoph Kirsch has run the company as the second generation since 2015. Today Kirsch Import supplies retailers and the hospitality trade with more than 4,500 spirits: whisky, rum, gin, cognac and liqueur. Kirsch Import also organises Whisky Live Germany in Hamburg. The 2026 show celebrated the anniversary with these special bottlings.
The Anniversary Bottlings at a Glance
The series shows what Kirsch Import is known for: partnerships with distilleries and independent bottlers built up over decades.
- Rarities from the founding year: Caledonian 1976 and Cameronbridge 1976 are two 50-year-old single grain whiskies from hogsheads. They were distilled in the same year Kirsch Import was founded. It's hard to think of a more fitting anniversary whisky.
- Highly aged highlights: Talisker 1993 at 32 years old, finished in a charred American oak hogshead, Glenlossie 1992 at 33 years old, and a 50-year-old single malt from Signatory Vintage.
- Single casks from around the world: Kanosuke from a sherry butt (Japan), Bimber from an ex-bourbon cask (London), Isle of Raasay from an Oloroso barrique and Port Askaig from an Oloroso sherry butt.
- Speyside classics: Benromach 21 years from a 1st fill bourbon barrel, Glenfarclas from a 1st fill sherry butt, Tomintoul, Glencadam, Tormore and Glen Elgin.
- The Octave: Small octave casks mature the whisky especially intensely, for example with Oloroso, Moscatel, PX or Mizunara finishes. The range includes bottlings from Glenkinchie, Glen Spey, Glentauchers, Invergordon and North British.
- For collectors: the Gordon & MacPhail 50th Anniversary Collection of five 70 cl bottles.
- Also included: two cigar blend cognacs from Vallein Tercinier, made to go with a cigar.
