There are only a few malts that have such complexity and smokiness as the 16 year old Lagavulin.
It starts off sweet and then develops its spiciness and peatiness with force.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Lagavulin 16 year old tastes like
- Nose: strong with lots of smoke, iodine and a sweet spice - reminiscent of strong green tea, with sherry tones and creamy vanilla
- Palate: strong and rich in taste, full mouthfeel with a fruity Sweetness and Sherry - lots of peat and oak
- Finish: long, spicier Finish - the peat smoke again, plus dates, figs and vanilla

Rauchig - aber ein Klassiker
Wer an Single Malt Whisky denkt, denkt automatisch auch an diesen Klassiker. Sicher ist dies ein recht rauchiger Einsieg in die Welt des Single Malt Whisky, der eventuell auch Einige davon abhält weitere Whiskys zu probieren.
Für Freunde der etwas intensiveren Geschmacks ist dieser Whisky aber auf jeden Fall ein Muss.
