Rumult

In 1928, Josef and Amalie Lantenhammer founded a small gentian distillery in Agatharied, Upper Bavaria - the beginning of a family business that gained international attention in 1999 with Germany's first single malt whisky (later the Slyrs brand). Under the name Rumult, the Lantenhammer distillery in Hausham am Schliersee now also ventures into rum: rather than distilling in the Caribbean itself, this traditional Bavarian house imports selected rums and lets them mature to perfection in its own "Rumult Signature Cask Selection" - Caribbean rum with a shot of Bavarian craftsmanship.

Is Rumult distilled in Bavaria?

No - the base rums come from the Caribbean, but are selected, blended and given a final maturation by the Lantenhammer distillery in Hausham am Schliersee in its own "Signature Cask Selection".
