1731 Fine & Rare

1731 - the year the British Royal Navy first began paying its sailors a half-pint of rum as part of their wages - gave Dutch entrepreneur Jacco Kroon the name for his project, launched in 2018. Kroon, who had previously spent almost twelve years as an export manager for Demerara Distillers Ltd. (known for El Dorado) and fell hopelessly in love with rum on a trip to Guyana, founded 1731 Fine & Rare as an independent Amsterdam bottler with a clear commitment: transparency over additives.
