La Maison du Rhum
Since 2017, the French spirits distributor Dugas has blended and presented carefully selected rums from around the world under the name La Maison du Rhum – from Guadeloupe and Martinique to Panama and Barbados, to Réunion, Guatemala, and Venezuela. It is an independent bottling line rather than a distillery in its own right.
La Maison du Rhum stands for transparency: distillation date, cask type, source distillery, and still type are all carefully noted on every label, presented in an elegant retro-colonial style with a wooden case. The Discovery Rum Pineapple is the current entry point into this versatile bottling line's range in our selection.

What exactly is La Maison du Rhum – a distillery or a bottler?
La Maison du Rhum is not a distillery in its own right, but an independent bottling line, founded in 2017, run by the French spirits distributor Dugas, which distributes more than half of all rum brands from Martinique in France. Rather than specialising in a single source distillery, Dugas selects premium rums from a wide range of countries and blends or presents them under the shared name La Maison du Rhum.
What makes the Discovery range distinctive?
The "Discovery Rhum" series originally comprised three bottlings from different countries of origin – including a rhum vieux made in Panama and a rum distilled at Mount Gay in Barbados. Each bottle details its distillation date, cask type, source distillery, and still type – an unusual level of transparency for a bottler.
