Der El Dorado Single Still Uitvlugt Rum, einer von sechs speziell kreierten Uitvlugt Special Cask Finish-Abfüllungen, stammt von den Demerara Distillers in Guyana. Er wurde in dem einzigartigen französischen 4-Column Savalle Still aus Metall im Jahr 2006 sorgsam destilliert. Der alte metallene Still ist ein Erbstück aus dem 18. Jahrhundert vom Uitvlugt Sugar Estate, an der Westküste der Demerara-Region von Guyana gelegen. Dieser einmalige Uitvlugt Rum reifte sieben Jahre in amerikanischen ex Bourbon-Fässern bevor er anschließend im sogenannten „Double Ageing“-Verfahren weitere acht Jahre in Fässern aus amerikanischer Eiche lagerte. Dabei handelt es sich um selektierte Eichenfässer, in denen zuvor portugiesische Rotweine ruhten und die man für die Spirituosenreifung leicht ausbrannte. Dieses Finish verleiht dem Rum seine einmaligen Geschmacksaromen.
