It starts off sweet and then develops its spiciness and peatiness with force.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Lagavulin 16 year old tastes like
- Nose: strong with lots of smoke, iodine and a sweet spice - reminiscent of strong green tea, with sherry tones and creamy vanilla
- Palate: strong and rich in taste, full mouthfeel with a fruity Sweetness and Sherry - lots of peat and oak
- Finish: long, spicier Finish - the peat smoke again, plus dates, figs and vanilla

Gibt klar die Richtung vor mit Noten bis hin zu ledrig. Gibt's gar in jeder Bar, also einfach probieren ob man zusammen passt.

Hat, was man von einem Islay-Whiskey erwartet: Torf und Rauch in rauhen Mengen. Dazu aber auch eine unglaubliche Fülle weiterer Aromen, die ihn für mich zu einem vollkommenen Whisky machen.
