Lagavulin 16 year old

It starts off sweet and then develops its spiciness and peatiness with force.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Lagavulin 16 year old tastes like
- Nose: strong with lots of smoke, iodine and a sweet spice - reminiscent of strong green tea, with sherry tones and creamy vanilla
- Palate: strong and rich in taste, full mouthfeel with a fruity Sweetness and Sherry - lots of peat and oak
- Finish: long, spicier Finish - the peat smoke again, plus dates, figs and vanilla

Haben ein Tasting mit 7 Sorten am Feuer in einem mittelalterlichen Langhaus gemacht. Dort war's also ganz schön rauchig. Darunter waren Whiskeys verschiedener Grundgeschmäcker. Mein Beitrag war eine Flasche Lagavulin 16 Jahre. Es wurde entschieden grob von leicht zu schwer torfig zu gehen. Der Lagavulin sollte zum Schluss dran sein und das mit Recht. Trotz des Feuers im Haus, kam die rauchige Note gut durch. Außerdem ist er einfach lecker mit einem sehr langanhaltenden Nachgeschmack.
