The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years Old is a perfectly balanced single malt matured for 18 years in both American and European sherry-seasoned oak casks. Sherry-seasoned American oak adds delicate vanilla, European oak a subtle spice; the result is a sweeter, warmer whisky.
On the palate it is full-bodied and decadent with layers of raisin, sultana, caramel, honeyed oak and hints of ginger and nutmeg.
