For this whisky, Springbank lets the barley dry over a peat fire for 48 hours.
Less than 100 Casks are filled every year.
The saltiness of one complement each other very nicely Campbeltown whisky and the created peat note.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Longrow Peated tastes
- Nose: salt and a leathery smokiness - almost like a dock worker's damp leather jacket in Campbeltown
- Palate: light and sweet with green apples and rhubarb - then suddenly a heavy dose of smoke
- Finish: again sea salt and smoke - long finish

Whow! Ein sehr, sehr guter Tropfen!
In den Geruch kann ich mich verlieben. Der erste Schluck ist eher "flach". Aber dann legt dieser Whiskey los- eine wahre Gaumenfreude!

Toller Whiskey, der Torf harmoniert wunderbar mit dem sonst fruchtigen Charakter und klingt Campbeltown-typisch maritim-ölig aus.

Sehr harmonisch
Für große Rauchliebhaber eventuell zu "schwach" - die rauchige Note ist in Nase und und Mund präsent und harmoniert gut mit malzig-fruchtigen Tönen, was im Abgang wiederum in eine Meeresbrise umschlägt. Dadurch erstaunlich frisch & mMn ein großartiges Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
