A genuine Kentucky straight bourbon from Bardstown, Kentucky. A pleasantly round, very soft bourbon with elegant spicy and fruity notes. Rowan’s Creek is bottled only in small quantities (small batch).
The brand is produced at the Willett Distillery in Bardstown and is known for its sweet caramel and vanilla backbone, subtle floral and grassy notes and a warming, spicy finish.
Tasting Notes: What Rowan’s Creek Tastes Like
- Nose: Maple syrup, menthol, charred vanilla oak, liquorice, dark chocolate, orange oil, ginger and caramel wafers; spicy, minty tones
- Palate: Classic caramel and vanilla, plus light cedar notes; minty dark chocolate, dark honeycomb, maple syrup on toasted waffles and dark vanilla with oak
- Finish: Gingercake, mint chocolate, charred vanilla pods, spicy and aromatic oak, honeycomb and peppery notes with anise
