Profile: What Makes Jura The Sound Special
Matured in American ex-bourbon casks of white oak, then finished in former Pedro Ximénez sherry casks that previously held a 15-year-old PX. Bottled for the travel retail market in the 1-litre bottle. The Sound is the entry-level bottling of the Jura Travellers Collection.
The Isle of Jura Distillery is in Craighouse, the island’s only village; the first legal distillery arose here in 1810, was rebuilt in 1963 and has belonged to Whyte & Mackay since 1993. Fewer than 300 people live on the island.

Dieser Jura hat mich enttäuscht. Die früheren core range Whiskies waren überzeugender und hatten mehr vom Torfmoorcharakter, für den Jura bekannt war. The Sound ist zu weichgespült.
