Slyrs first matures this single malt whisky for several years in new American white oak casks, then finishes it in Marsala Superiore DOC casks from Sicily, Italy. The sweet, wine-like character of the Marsala gives the Bavarian whisky a dark fruit and spice note.
Tasting Notes: What Slyrs Marsala Finish Tastes Like
- Nose: Intensely fruity with distinct aromas of plums and dark dried berries; plus redcurrant and sweet tobacco
- Palate: Again the dark, juicy dried fruit, with strong spice; nutmeg, roasted nuts and orange marmalade

Besser als die Standard-Abfüllung, angenehm - aber immer noch mit Luft nach Oben.
Die Gewürze sind rundherum sehr präsent, dazu Beeren und Rosinen.
Wärmend im Abgang.

Im Geschmack erst mal ganz anders als ein Scotch. Wird aber dann beim längeren probieren immer besser.
