Profile: What Makes Slyrs Classic Special
The house brand from Slyrs, matured in 225-litre oak casks and bottled here in the small 0.35 l size. The casks of fresh American white oak – similar to bourbon – let intense vanilla and oak flavours flow into the elegantly sweet single malt.
The Classic is a finely balanced composition of whiskies aged in casks for three to six years.
Tasting Notes: What Slyrs Classic Tastes Like
- Nose: Strong aromas of dried fruit, plus caramel and spicy tones, above all ginger; apricot and orange peel
- Palate: Sweeter than on the nose, slightly nutty notes; marzipan and walnut
- Finish: Long and spicy, with cinnamon notes
