The Redbreast 12 year old is one of the first single pot still whiskeys since 1939 Ireland.
Thrice distilled from malted and unmalted barley it matures in former Oloroso Sherry Casks.
The Midleton distillery has it The Redbreast 12 year old sets the bar high for Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, as only a few Single Pot Still Whiskeys can hold a candle to it.
The Redbreast 12 year old is absolutely perfectly balanced, a truly exceptional whiskey from Ireland.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Redbreast 12 year old tastes like
- Nose: rich aromas of exotic spices and juicy, ripe Fruits - slightly nutty aromas in the background
- Palate: soft and slightly creamy - again the spicy notes, then ripe, bright fruits and hints of Marzipan
- Finish: long creamy and spicy finish, some caramel

Mir war dieser Whisky schon im Vorfeld bekannt und daher wusste ich genau was ich wollte.

Wieder nachbestellt. Den Iren kann man getrost neben den Schotten "parken". Eigene Richtung, aber schmeckt sehr lecker.

Aroma von Eiche und Vanillepudding und Frucht
Abgang leicht mit einer süßen Caramellnote

In der Nase süße Früchte, Getreide, Karamell, Sherry, duftendes Leder/Eiche, im Mund dann wieder Süße, dazu Vanille, Karamell, leicht "öliges" Mundgefühl, eine leichte Schärfe, dazu Eiche/bitter (angenehm!).
Ein duftiger Abgang, anhaltend, vor allem Eiche und Karamell.
Sehr gut, ein Favorit!

Ich habe diesen Malt leider erst vor 2 Jahren kennengelernt.
Seitdem ist meine Frau auch Whiskey-Fan. Einfach Klasse !!!
