Profile: What Makes Hedonism Compass Box Special
Hedonism (Signature Range) is a vatted grain whisky, sweet with vanilla, toffee and cocoa aromas. The selected grain whiskies vary from batch to batch, but always include a proportion of old whiskies from the great grain distillery Cambus. Some of the casks used are up to 25 years old, with the whiskies ranging in age from 10 to 25 years. Hedonism is the only vatted grain whisky on the market! All Compass Box bottlings are non-chill-filtered and free from added colouring. The sample is ideal for an easy introduction to this unique grain whisky style.
Tasting Notes: What Hedonism Compass Box Tastes Like
- Nose: Softly floral with vanilla and a touch of lime, plus nutmeg and baked oat cookies
- Palate: Sweet shortbread, peppercorn and oak, the lime again – creamy vanilla with rhubarb and a spicy note of red pepper
- Finish: Spicy with cinnamon and cayenne pepper, plus a touch of mint with a lingering, gentle warmth
