The Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados is responsible for the distillation of theelegant, extremely soft Planteray Barbados PXXO 20th Anniversary
in Barbados, the Planteray Barbados PXXO 20th Anniversary matures in former Bourbon Casks and new Casks made of American white Oak.
The Chateau de Bonbonnet in France then undergoes several years of maturation in old Ferrand Casks and a final finish lasting several months in former Pedro Ximénez Sherry Casks from Andalusia in Spain.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Planteray Barbados PXXO 20th Anniversary tastes like

  • Nose: rich Aromas of ripe tropical fruits, plus a slightly spicy tones, paired with the scent of fresh vanilla pods
  • Palate: extremely soft and full in taste - delicate, complex notes of dark fruits and chocolate behind it roasted hazelnuts and vanilla again - above all a pleasant, light spiciness
  • Finish: long in the soft, very harmonious finish - the ripe dark fruits are still present, plus nuts again and chocolate, before soft, spicy hints of tobacco leaves and leather emerge
