The Scottish Speyburn distillery was founded in 1897 in a deep valley between the towns of Elgin and Rothes founded.
The location and the Victorian construction make this Speyside distillery one of the most beautiful and attractive in the country.
Classically twice distilled in copper pot stills, the Speyburn Bourbon Cask first matures in former Bourbon Casks, followed by a finish of several months in former Rum Casks.
For over 125 years, the inspiring spirit of the Scottish homeland of Speyburn on the banks of the Granty Burn has been captured in every drop of Speyburn Single Malt. With sophisticated skills and knowledge spanning generations, Speyburn uses only the finest ingredients to create the unmistakable Speyburn character.
Tasting Notes: This is how the Speyburn Rum Cask Finish tastes like
- Nose: at the beginning tropical fruits, then green apples and citrus fruits - above all the scent of caramelized bananas
- Palate: soft and mouth-filling in taste with clear Notes of shortbread and ripe peaches, behind them again the tropical fruits, hints of soft caramel develop with a delicate cinnamon note and fresh vanilla
- Finish: long and soft in the finish - the fruity notes, caramel and vanilla are present for a long time
