The RON KONG 12 year old Rainforest Rum Gran Reserva Double Cask initially matured for twelve long years in former bourbon barrels made of American white Oak in Panama.
After the Twelve-year maturation phase is followed by a three-month refinement in former Port Wine Casks.
The result is a soft Rainforest Rum in an intense, light amber color with golden reflections.
Twelve years is also the age of an adult eastern gorilla, whose habitat is in the rainforest of the Virunga Mountains.
The depiction of the bottle corresponds to such a gorilla.
