After a fire at the Saint Lucia Distillers distillery in 2007, some barrels were misplaced, forgotten... and then rediscovered four years later. What sounds like the beginning of a pirate novel is actually the birth of the Chairman's Reserve - The Forgotten Casks.

These barrels have had plenty of time to reflect - namely 5 to 11 years, and in the best possible environment: former whiskey Casks from Jim Beam, Jack Daniel's, and Buffalo Trace. If wood could talk, it would probably have a strong Southern accent.

The aging period not only gave the rum depth, but also an elegant mahogany color, which, as soon as it's poured, reveals: None of the usual suspects are here. And although it wasn't originally planned, this "forgotten" rum quickly became one of the favorites in the portfolio.
