- Nose: Malty aromas, followed by ground pepper and allspice – then getting fruitier, above all pears and apples – behind them butterscotch and toffee; juicy green apple, plump hedgerow fruit and some coconut; hints of brown sugar, instant coffee and vanilla extract
- Palate: Baked apples with honey and spices, plus almonds and plenty of malt; a creamy texture like vanilla custard with a zip of citrus, mouth-coating honey and a gentle prickle of sweet spice
- Finish: Spicy oak and barley, behind them juicy oranges; medium length with soft black pepper
