Profile: What Makes Slyrs Rye Special
Slyrs Rye Whisky has arrived! Matured for three years in Crocodile Toasted oak casks and distilled from strong rye, fresh barley and finest wheat. “Crocodile” is the name of the cask toasting because the heavy char of the wood resembles crocodile skin.
Tasting Notes: What Slyrs Rye Tastes Like
- Nose: Very fruity with ripe fruit, a light cinnamon note
- Palate: Pleasantly mild with well-integrated sweet-spicy notes, slightly tart with liquorice, cinnamon and allspice; plus pear, vanilla and honey
- Finish: Long, subtly dry, slightly peppery with a very balanced mouthfeel
