Zaya Gran Reserva sounds like a tropical spell - and in a way, it is. This fine rum was originally born in Trinidad, but has now made itself at home in Guatemala. You could say: Zaya has traveled well - in the truest sense of the word.
The name “Zaya” means something like “heart” in the ancient Mayan language - and that's fitting, because a lot of heart and soul definitely went into this. Zaya Gran Reserva is made with a blend of different rums that have been aged for up to 16 years. All according to a secret family recipe that's probably better guarded than Grandma's Christmas cookies.
Distilled using the column still method, which ensures purity - or as Zaya would put it: "I'm not just beautiful, I'm also cleanly distilled."
Visually, Zaya is elegant, almost seductive - a bottle that looks as if it's whispering on any bar shelf: "Open me, you know you want it."
