Smith & Cross in London is a member of Hayman Distillers, which selects barrels from the Hampden distillery in Jamaica for this rum, and 57% vol of Navy Strength. bottling.
The rums used were each distilled 50% in Wedderburn and Plummer style and then stored for six months (Plummer) and three years (Wedderburn) in barrels of American white oak.
Aroma: clearly caramel and exotic fruits, with an elegant woody note
Taste: strong, exotic fruit notes, a pleasant sweetness and again the wood tones
Finish: long finish with a balanced fruity sweetness on the palate
