Finlaggan Port Finished

Profile: What Makes Finlaggan Port Finished Special
As with all bottlings under the Finlaggan name, the Islay distillery unfortunately cannot be named here. A small-batch bottling of an Islay single malt whisky, finished in ex-port casks. The port finish brings a wine-like sweetness to the island’s maritime peat smoke.
Tasting Notes: What Finlaggan Port Finished Tastes Like
- Nose: Sweet peat smoke, smoked ham and ripe summer fruit
- Palate: The sweet peat smoke increases – fruity notes of raspberries and strawberries; the port finish takes hold, the peat pushes back
- Finish: Warm ash of a peat fire – a pleasant sweetness in the background – long finish

Gut und Top Preis-Leistung
Heute geliefert und gerade aufgemacht: Ich bin positiv überrascht. Schöner Rauch, maritime Noten und dazu leckeres Port-Finish. Ich kann es zwar kaum glauben, aber vom Brennereicharakter erinnert er mich am ehesten an einen jungen Laga — dachte immer, die Rücken an UA keine Fässer raus...

Für mich ist der Finlaggan Port Finished ein toller Alltagswhisky zu einem sehr guten Preis. Besonders gefällt mit der torfige Geschmack, der nicht übermäßig stark ist - meiner Meinung nach.
