Slyrs at cask strength! Bottled at 51% ABV, the Fifty-One is a cuvée of Slyrs whisky that previously matured in ex-sherry, ex-port and ex-Sauternes casks. A strong, multi-layered brother of the classic Slyrs whiskies.
Tasting Notes: What Slyrs 51 Fifty-One Tastes Like
- Nose: Strong aromas of dark wood and malted barley; prunes and roasted chestnuts, plus moss, spruce and a hint of chocolate
- Palate: Plenty of malt and vanilla, lightly fruity – recalling hay; tart herbs, cloves, nutty and fresh
- Finish: Long, intense finish – malty and spicy; slightly dry

Schönes Produkt, u. a. auch für die gepflegte Zigarre...

Pur relativ "sprittig", mit etwas Wasser deutlich besser.
Getreide, Traube. Leichter Ton von dunkler Schokolade und etwas geröstetem, wo wir uns nicht sicher waren, was genau.
Nicht für Anfänger. Als deutscher Whisky nicht schlecht.

Sehr intensiv, starker Abgang. Hochprozentiges aus Deutschland. Es müssen nicht immer die Schottischen sein.
