The Botucal Reserva Exclusiva is distilled from molasses in copper pot stills.
The rum matured for about 12 years in selected ExBourbon barrels.
The Botucal rum is versatile and can be enjoyed in different ways, whether neat, in cocktails or with desserts. The Destilerias Unidas brand uses fermented molasses and sugar cane honey to create the unique flavor, and combines rums from pot and column stills to create a blend.
The rum has won several awards and is considered a must-have for homes and experienced bartenders. The Botucal rum is also known abroad as "Ron Diplomatico", but is available in Germany as "Ron Botucal" and has an alcohol content of 40%.
