Portrait: What makes Ardbeg Uigeadail special

When you think of whisky from Islay, you inevitably think of whiskeys from the Ardbeg brand. This brand is very popular among connoisseurs and collectors. The special bottlings are certainly particularly popular with collectors.

Named after the source from Ardbeg sources its peaty spring water.
Uigeadail (pronounced Ogg-a-dal) is a vatting of various Bourbon- and very old Sherry Casks that give it its special taste.

Tasting Notes: This is how the Ardbeg Uigeadail tastes like

  • Nose: brown sugar and roasted coffee beans, paired with peat and soft tar - in the background ripe barley and leather

  • Finish: very long finish with caramel and malty notes - above all the peat and brown cane sugar, the coffee beans are also present again
