On the palate, a lovely peaty sweetness combined with a touch of iodine and sea salt with traces of vanilla and spice. The finish is breathtakingly long, with smoky waves.

Ein stark rauchiger Islay, den ich versuche immer vorrätig zu haben. Sein stark torfiger Charakter entspricht meinen Vorlieben, ebenso der Gehalt an Vanille und Meersalz im Hintergrund. Der torfige Abgang verstärkt den Genuss.

Der Islay Storm ist für den Preis OK, würde einen Laphroaig 10, Quater Cask oder Ardbeg 10 vorziehen. Der Geruch ist sehr angenehm und man kann ihn von Zeit zu Zeit mal trinken.
Mir persönlich fehlt die "Torf-Bombe". Habe aber auch schon schlechtere in der Preisklasse getrunken.
