It means more like they have their own opinions, a good sense of taste - and sometimes a preference for beer. Like Simon, one of the longest-serving minds at Nc'Nean, who was given the opportunity to let off steam for the latest installment of the Quiet Rebels series.

Simon is not only a whiskey distiller, but also a self-confessed beer nerd. So it made sense not to take the traditional route for his very own bottling. Instead, he combined STR Red Wine Casks with barrels that previously contained stout – brewed by the renowned brewery Innis & Gunn. A little twist: These very barrels had previously contained... Nc'Nean whisky. A bit of recycling, a bit of magic, a bit of "why not?"

Nc'Nean, located in the wild western Highlands, has made a name for itself in a very short time: sustainable, modern – without wanting to reinvent the single malt, but certainly with fresh ideas.
