Planteray Mister Fogg Navy Rum is no ordinary rum - it's a liquid adventure with a travel itinerary. Inspired by Jules Verne's legendary globetrotter Phileas Fogg, this rum also travels around the globe before it reaches your glass. What others consider a proof of origin is a world map here: Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana, Mauritius, and Jamaica - sounds like a Caribbean vacation, but tastes like a nautical chart and sailor's yarn (but that's between you and me, the taste comes later).

The rum is made from molasses - with a dash of fresh sugarcane juice from Mauritius for exotic points - and is distilled in the traditional way in pot stills and column stills. Then the real adventure begins: first tropical maturation in ex-bourbon Casks right on site, then a sea voyage to southwest France, where it continues to mature, surrounded by old oak barrels, river mist, and probably a charmingly grumpy cellar master.

At 55.7% ABV. Mister Fogg Navy Rum packs a serious punch - in the tradition of the historic Navy Proof, so the stuff still fires up (or at least boosts morale) even after a hurricane.

The whole thing is a homage to the British Navy, old rum transports, and the great art of pouring patience into Cask form.
