In 1968, George Urquhart—a member of the founding family of Gordon & MacPhail—laid the foundation for a true whisky institution: Connoisseurs Choice. At a time when single malts were still mostly disappearing into blends, he created a platform that gave individual distillates their own stage.

Today, the series includes over 2,000 bottlings from nearly 100 Scottish distilleries – each with its own character and a story told on the label: from cask type to vintage, alcohol strength, and bottling date, right down to detailed tasting notes.

A special highlight for collectors and connoisseurs: the Glentauchers 2008/2025. This single malt – one of five favorites of renowned whisky critic Jim Murray – matured in a bourbon cask and impresses with tropical fruity aromas, a hint of malt biscuit, and fine heather honey.
