Profile: What Makes Suntory Toki Special
A pleasantly light and fruity blended whisky from the house of Suntory – a blend of single malts from Yamazaki and Hakushu and single grain from Chita. Toki is particularly suited to the highball: one part Toki to two parts soda water with a lemon twist. The highball glass in the set makes getting started easy.
Tasting Notes: What Suntory Toki Tastes Like
- Nose: Distinctly ripe cereal and freshly cut hay, plus nutty aromas, distinct coconut and vanilla; basil, green apple and honey
- Palate: Getting spicier with notes of pink peppercorns and pepper, plus the cereal again and oak tones – then honey, coconut and vanilla follow; grapefruit, green grapes and peppermint
- Finish: Medium-length finish with a light sweetness and nutty notes – citrus fruit behind; a hint of vanilla oak and ginger
