Profile: What Makes Legent Bourbon Special
Legent Bourbon is the result of an exceptional collaboration between Fred Noe, Master Distiller at Jim Beam, and Shinji Fukuyo, Chief Blender at Suntory. Together they created a bourbon that combines traditional Kentucky craftsmanship with innovative blending techniques inspired by Japanese whisky making.
After aging as a Kentucky Straight Bourbon in new charred American oak barrels, selected barrels receive additional maturation in wine and sherry casks. This finishing process adds layers of dried fruit, spice and sweetness while preserving the classic bourbon profile of vanilla, caramel and toasted oak.
Bottled at 47% ABV, Legent offers a smooth yet complex drinking experience that appeals to both traditional bourbon enthusiasts and adventurous whiskey lovers seeking something different.
Tasting Notes: Legent Bourbon
- Nose: Vanilla, caramel, honey, raisins, red berries, toasted oak, baking spices and dried fruit.
