No longer a secret: Port From November 2023, Askaig will be inviting you to get to know the essence of Islay with a refined look and a new core range. The core range consists of a total of three bottlings, with two of the single malts being limited but recurring as small batches or annual editions.
Untamed Islay flavors has the Port Askaig Cask Strength - Small Batch #01-2023 in its luggage. The cask-strong small-batch bottling consists of no more than 60 casks from a distillery located on Islay's north-east coast.
The cask composition makes Port Askaig transparent via a code. Batch #01-2023 combines -very similar to the Port Askaig 100 Proof - 25% first-fill Toasted exBourbon Barrels and 75% Refill American Oak Hogsheads to layers of sweetness and spice to produce that is interwoven with the classic Islay smoke.
