Portrait: What makes the Grafschaft Mark Alte Quetsch special.

A special kind of fruit brandy: If you want to offer your guests something different than the classic fruit brandy, the Grafschaft Mark Alte Quetsch is the right choice. An excellent fruit brandy, full-bodied, fine and soft - ideally suited as a digestif after a delicious meal.

Only exquisite and regional plums are used   are used, which then become a full-bodied plum brandy under the best conditions by several months of barrel storage. An extremely fine and extraordinary fruit brandy that is enjoyed neat.

The Grafschaft Mark Alte Quetsch is strongly reminiscent of a Christmas cake of English or Irish tradition, which is named after Christmas, but is also enjoyed outside of the festive season becomes. The dark fruit cake is related to our fruit bread and is repeatedly soaked in brandy or whiskey so as not to become too dry. The old Quetsch is fruit bread in a glass - without any crumbs!

• Nose: Rum and whiskey soaked plums, dried plums and figs, subtle almond aromas like Amaretto, similar to the Japanese ume liqueur
• Palate: soft and full-bodied - juicy fruit bread with prunes, figs and raisins, again some amaretto and caramel, the typical barrel notes are still covered 
• Finish: Caramel, dried figs and spicy tones from the oak barrel
