No less than St. Lucia Distillers is responsible for the rum qualities under the Admiral Rodney name.
The Admiral Rodney rums celebrate the famous naval victory of Admiral George Rodney against the French at the Battle of Les Saintes in 1782, in which the British secured dominance over the Caribbean.
The names of the rums in this series come from the ships that distinguished themselves in the battle.
The HMS Princessa, the HMS Royal Oak, and Admiral Rodney's flagship, the HMS Formidable, shone in combat and "broke the line" of the French fleet. (HMS = His/Her Majesty's Ship)
The Admiral Rodney rums, like the Chairman's Reserve rums, are also produced in the St. Lucia Distillers distillery. All rums are distilled in a column still.
