Profile: What Makes Aultmore 10 Year Old 2011/2022 Special
Signatory’s new Vintage series – bottled in collaboration with the German importer Kirsch Whisky, exclusively for Germany. This 10 year old Aultmore matured in a refill sherry butt, was distilled on 7 July 2011 and bottled on 13 June 2022 in only 308 bottles.
The Aultmore distillery lies in the heart of Speyside and has produced single malts since 1896. It is known for its whiskies being important components of Dewar’s blends – as a single cask bottling the malt shows its own character. The independent bottler Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington and has been based in Pitlochry since acquiring Edradour in 2002. All Signatory bottlings are released without artificial colouring and without chill filtration.

- Nose: Fine pastry with raisins, apricots and oranges, plus subtle malt and sherry notes
- Palate: Full-bodied and robust – first pastry and caramel, followed by fruity berries, dark chocolate and oak
