Compañero is the Spanish word for comrade, and stands for 1423's Compañero range, for which flavour, complexity and finish are the central keywords. The series' three standard bottlings – Gran Reserva, Elixir Orange and Panama Extra Añejo – come from the classic rum-producing countries of Trinidad, Jamaica and Panama. At 40% ABV, Companero Gran Reserva is a soft yet bold rum made from selected rum qualities from Jamaica and Trinidad, distilled from sugar cane molasses in both pot still and column still. With a strong, powerful fragrance of Jamaican rum and the smooth, elegant character of Trinidadian rum, this blend impresses with a long finish.
