Profile: What Makes Mama Quilla XA Special
Winner of the gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2020. Mama Quilla rum comes from Guatemala and is produced using the solera system. The rum first matures in its homeland, then continues its journey to France, specifically to the Charente, where it now matures to perfection in former Cognac casks. The name Mama Quilla comes from Inca mythology – as goddess of the moon, she was one of the three most important deities of the Inca age.
