Canerock is a Jamaican rum flavored with an infusion of vanilla beans, coconut meat, ginger and other delicate spices.
The rum qualities for this extraordinary blended rum matured for up to three years, a small portion was even stored for five to ten years.
American oak barrels were used.
10 to 15% of this specialty received a second maturation in ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The rum qualities used come from the Clarendon Distillery and the Long Pond Distillery in Jamaica.
The blended rum was seasoned with vanilla pods from Madagascar, coconut meat from the Caribbean and Jamaican spices such as ginger.
Nose: exceptionally rich and complex with aromas of pastry, vanilla, coffee beans, dark chocolate and coconut.
Palate: Sweet notes of caramel at the beginning, accompanied by a light spice and raisins - then notes of allspice and delicate oak tannins
Finish: Spicy and sweet at the same time with tones of poppy seed cake, dark cherries, plums, coconut and fresh mint, ginger and cloves

Kokos und dunkle Schokolade spielen in diesem Canerock die geschmacklichen Hauptrollen. Im Abgang kommt Ingwer Schärfe dazu. Diese Kombi ist genial. Für mich z.Z. eines der besten Rumsorten in diesem Preissegment. Für die aktuellen +/- 30,- € inkl. Versandkosten kaum zu toppen.
