This noble Eau de Vie de Vin matured in Ferrand casks and in Plantation rum casks from the Long Pond Distillery in Jamaica.
The Ugni-Blanc grapes used come from the Cognac appellation, more precisely from the Grande Champagne, 1er Cru de Cognac
Fermented for three days, double distilled in the pot still (25 hl) with an ester content of 119g/hl.
Only the fact that the storage and maturation in former rum casks does not belong to the strict AOC standard makes this brandy a Eua de Vie de Vin - and not a cognac!
Nose: an intense and fruity bouquet of oranges, guavas and gooseberries is accompanied by notes of pastry, almonds and vanilla, as well as a floral hint of honeysuckle
Taste: just as fruity on the palate as it is on the nose, with fine notes of quince purée, peaches and tangerines, surrounded by a spicy touch of nutmeg and cinnamon
Finish: long and sweet with lemongrass, pepper and liquorice as well as hints of coffee and mint
