Founded with Master Distiller Dave Pickerell in 2007, WhistlePig managed to combine legendary whiskey tradition with groundbreaking innovation.
Countless awards followed and cemented its reputation as the world's most awarded rye whiskey.
Rightly so - because the extraordinarily high proportion of rye of almost 100 percent, a long ripening period and constant innovations in barrel management are guarantees for these extraordinary rye whiskeys in a class of their own.

WhistlePig 12 Years is the result of three finishes, each with unmistakable profiles: the first American whiskey of its kind, which matured in new American white oak barrels for over a decade.
Then 63 percent of the finishing and blending took place in exMadeira, 30 percent in exSauternes and 7 percent in exPort wine barrels.

Nose: dates, raisins, honey, orange jam and apple pie
Taste: apricot and honey followed by an explosion of spicy rye with notes of plum, caramel and mint
Finish: candied fruit, followed by oak aromas, dark chocolate and butterscotch
