Douglas Laing's special summer 2021 release! Bottled at a natural cask strength of 53.8% ABV, Big Peat's newest bottling celebrates the rainfall on the Scottish whisky island of Islay – after all, today's rain is tomorrow's whisky! The word peatrichor (or petrichor) describes the earthy scent that arises when rain falls, as the drops patter onto dry ground. The label and gift tube depict Big Peat in a yellow raincoat as the heavens open over his home island of Islay. Just over 5,000 bottles of this special release are available worldwide. In keeping with the Big Peat philosophy, the bottling was produced without colouring or chill filtration. The sample is ideal for an easy introduction to this true-to-form Islay blend.
