The Rivière du Mât distillery on the island of La Réunion continues its arrangé rum series – an absolutely typical speciality of La Réunion – and enriches its range with a banana-vanilla recipe. Arrangé Banane Vanillée is made from the house’s own white Rivière du Mât rum, macerated bananas and selected spices.
The distillery was founded in 1886 in Saint-Benoît on the island’s east coast and is regarded as one of the oldest distilleries still active on La Réunion. Its rums are made from molasses from sugar cane plantations on the island; its famous chimney is a listed heritage monument. The arrangé belongs to a series of four recipes that also includes Coco Torréfié, Ananas Caramélisé and Vanille des Tropiques.
