This rum is not a Caribbean sun worshipper with a straw hat and ukulele - no, SangSom is the tropical party animal from Thailand, which has been distilling with a charming Grin and a rather golden aura. It wasn't born in a pirate's barrel, but in a state-of-the-art distillery, in true style on the Gulf of Thailand, where people not only go on beach holidays, but also distill rum quite seriously.

SangSom is something of a folk hero in Thailand with alcohol content. While other countries proudly celebrate their wines or fine whiskeys, Thailand says: "Here, take SangSom - it goes with everything, even at sunset." The rum has even received several international awards - probably because the jury immediately felt like going to a beach party after the first sip.

The production follows classic methods: Sugar cane is distilled, the rum matures in oak barrels, acquires its golden color, and then - whoosh - it ends up in the hands of backpackers, beach vendors, and locals who know exactly how to enjoy life.
