Tasting Notes: What Ardbeg 5 Year Old Wee Beastie Tastes Like
- Nose: Fresh herbs, plus a touch of vanilla, pear and freshly ground black pepper – then aromas of smoked ham and strong Turkish coffee follow – juicy pine resin over everything – with a little water even more herbs, plus fennel seed and anise, fresh green apples and old leather
- Palate: Bold on the palate – intense notes of chocolate and tar, paired with creosote tar oil and smoked bacon, behind that antiseptic tones like throat lozenges, paired with eucalyptus and more anise
- Finish: Long and mouth-filling in the finish, the palate fills with cocoa, caramel fudge and savoury meat

Sehr torfig, für Liebhaber, werde immer wieder kaufen

Man kann ihn trinken, wenn ich aber an die Apex von vor 20 Jahren zurück denke, so vermisse ich das Gefühl, direkt nach dem Räuchern an der Wand der Räucherkammer geleckt zu haben.

Für eine fünfjährigen Ardbeg ist das richtig viel drin. der macht Spaß, hat die typischen Ardbegnoten, zeigt sich jugendlich und sehr ehrlich
